Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of cardthesis.com and, when made available, the CardThesis application. CardThesis is currently in private development and features may change before public release.

Informational product

CardThesis provides collectible identification, market information, grading analysis, and portfolio tools for informational purposes. Market values are estimates based on available data and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. CardThesis does not guarantee any sale price, investment return, grading result, or marketplace outcome.

Grading analysis

Any grading probability, submission score, centering estimate, or condition analysis is an opinion generated from available evidence. Third-party grading companies make their own independent decisions. A CardThesis assessment is not a guarantee of a PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or other grade.

Market information

Third-party pricing and catalog information may be supplied by external providers. Availability, coverage, licensing, and accuracy can change. CardThesis may distinguish between market benchmarks, historical observations, active listings, and completed sales because those evidence types are not equivalent.

Paper Trading and Paper Leagues

Paper Trading uses virtual funds. No card purchase or sale is executed in a real marketplace. Paper Leagues are free to enter, offer no prizes, and require a separate explicit join for each round. Simulated funds and results cannot be withdrawn, redeemed or exchanged for money or cards.

Each round shows its starting funds, dates, sharing disclosure and trading rules before you join. The rules include simulated transaction charges, eligible markets, quantity and holding limits, and valuation requirements. Rules and dates are fixed once a round is published. You may enter once per account per round; do not use multiple accounts, reset attempts or manipulated evidence to gain additional attempts.

Profit includes cash, all held cards and simulated transaction charges. Live standings are provisional. Missing trustworthy valuations leave an entry unranked. Under the initial rules, if any active traded portfolio cannot be fully valued at the closing cutoff, the round is cancelled with no final ranking. Final scores use the stated closing observations and do not change with later market prices. Leaving removes your identifiable entry from shared standings, including historical standings; private records remain available and you cannot rejoin that round.

Simulated fills and rankings do not establish that a card could actually be bought or sold at that price, in that quantity or within that time. They do not predict future profit.

Your account

When you use a CardThesis account, you are responsible for maintaining access to your chosen authentication provider and for activity performed through your account. You may not use CardThesis to interfere with the service, access another user's data, scrape restricted service data, or violate applicable law.

Independent service and third-party rights

CardThesis is an independent collector utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by The Pokémon Company, The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, GAME FREAK, Creatures Inc., or any grading company, marketplace, publisher, licensor, or other rights holder identified in the service.

CardThesis branding, original software, interface designs, analysis, and original content are owned by CardThesis or its licensors. Pokémon and related names, characters, card artwork, set names, symbols, logos, and other trading-card materials are trademarks, copyrights, or other property of their respective owners. Third-party names and materials are referenced to identify and describe the physical collectibles and related services. No ownership, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement is claimed, and CardThesis does not grant users rights in third-party material.

Rights-holder requests

A rights holder or authorized representative who believes material available through CardThesis infringes their rights may send a notice to hello@cardthesis.com. Please identify the protected work or mark, the CardThesis page or material at issue, your contact information, and the basis for your authority. CardThesis will review sufficiently detailed notices and may remove or disable material while a request is evaluated. This process does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Service availability

Private-development and beta features may be changed, suspended, or removed without notice. We may limit access to protect the service, users, providers, or infrastructure.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, CardThesis is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, CardThesis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from collectible purchases, sales, grading submissions, market movement, third-party services, or reliance on estimated values.

Changes

These Terms may be updated as the product evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version.
